New Sony Digital SLR Cameras
There are rumors out there of a new Sony DSLR Alpha camera from the Japanese company. Dubbed the Sony DSLR A800, the new SLR camera may be the successor to the A700, which is long overdue for an upgrade. The specifications of this new model, which is still but a rumor, are convincing enough, with a 15.2-megapixel sensor, 9 double cross AF sensor, 6.5 frames-per-second burst mode, and a maximum ISO sensitivity of 12,800.
But what really is causing the must stir and attention is the new onboard Wi-Fi function. It may be that Sony attempting to offer Web browsing feature in its dSLRs and the A800, just like when compared to the the Cyber-shot DSC-G3? If this is really the case, that would make the Sony DSLR A800 the first dSLR camera to be truly connected top the internet. Nevertheless, if the Wi-Fi function is in fact true, we are guessing it can be used to connect to local networks or to upload to popular photo sharing sites such as Facebook, Flicker or Picassa.
It is widely rumored that the Sony DSLR A800 will be announced at the upcoming Photo Marketing Association (PMA) trade show and it is slated to be launched in late April. We can expect more updates on this from Sony and others in the next few weeks.
