Canon Has Strong DSLR Sales in 2008 Compared to 2007

Canon has had strong digital SLR camera sales during the first half of 2008, Canon’s top executive said. Sales of digital single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras as well as digital compact point and shoot cameras grew steadily. Canon and Nikon control over 80 percent of the DSLR camera market, which is the fastest growing and most lucrative segment of the entire digital camera industry.
